Commerce Intelligence

Agentic Commerce Lab
Will an AI shopping agent find you — and pick you?

Shoppers increasingly brief an agent instead of browsing: the agent searches, compares and recommends, and the customer approves. The Agentic Commerce Lab is a wind tunnel for your brand — place it in a controlled simulation with a realistic shopper, a purchase mission and a competitive set, watch an AI agent shop, and see what it chose and why.

Why it matters

The recommendation now happens upstream.

When an agent does the shopping, the decision is made inside its reasoning — long before a customer sees a product page. If the agent cannot find your specifications, trust your reviews or match your product to the mission, you are not on the shortlist, and you never find out why.

Today · Human-led

Browse. Compare. Convert.

The customer searches, filters and cross-checks. SEO and paid media buy attention, and conversion happens on the product page.

Next · Agent-led

Brief. Delegate. Approve.

The customer briefs an agent that discovers, evaluates and shortlists on their behalf. Visibility is won upstream, inside its reasoning.

Discovery

Are you found?

See which searches the agent ran, which sources and pages it read, and whether your products surfaced at all.

Evaluation

Are you shortlisted?

Follow how the agent filtered options against the mission's criteria — price, delivery, specifications, reviews — and where you dropped out.

Decision

Are you chosen — and by how much?

Get the final choice, the scored shortlist and the reasoning behind it: not just who won, but why.

How it works

Set up, simulate, fix.

  1. 01

    Set up your brand

Your category, positioning, website and competitive set, with access for your team and your agencies.

  2. 02

    Design personas and scenarios

B2C consumers or B2B buying committees; purchase missions, channels, competitors, conditions and evaluation criteria.

  3. 03

    Launch a run

The simulation runs in the background with live progress. Journeys stop at the recommendation: nothing is ever bought.

  4. 04

    Diagnose and act

Replay the decision trail, then work from SWOT diagnostics, action plans, SEO plans and experience maps. Rerun to track progress.

Capabilities

A wind tunnel for your brand.

Three instruments

An autonomous shopping agent; a real retailer's on-site AI assistant, driven by the lab; or a human-like persona shopping with ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude at its side.

Realistic personas

B2C profiles with budget, price sensitivity, loyalty and sustainability expectations; B2B buyers with their role, authority and buying committee. Start from templates.

A replayable decision trail

Every search, page read, question asked, shortlist and score is recorded — the evidence behind every conclusion.

Evidence-based diagnostics

SWOT analyses in which every point links back to the decision trail. No evidence, no claim.

Plans you can execute

Action plans rated by impact and effort with status tracking, SEO plans built from the agents' actual queries, and experience maps for stakeholders. Rerun the same scenarios after each change to measure progress.

Built for brand teams and agencies

Roles for administrators, brand managers, analysts and viewers, with access granted brand by brand.

Static audits vs live AI reasoning

A dashboard tells you what already happened.

Commerce analytics describe past behaviour. The Commerce Lab runs live simulations against current AI models, so you optimise for the agents your customers will actually use.

Static audits

What sold yesterday.

Conversion funnels, attribution and SEO rankings: real data, but historical. They say nothing about how an AI agent reasons about your product today.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is the Agentic Commerce Lab?

A simulation lab from AdaptivAI in which brand and e-commerce teams test how AI shopping agents and retailer assistants discover, compare and choose products — and turn every journey into evidence-backed recommendations.

What is agentic commerce?

Shopping delegated to AI: the customer briefs an agent, the agent searches, evaluates and recommends, and the customer approves. Brands now have to convince the agent as well as the person.

Does a simulation buy anything?

No. Journeys stop at the recommendation or the selection. Nothing is ever purchased.

Does it work for B2B?

Yes. Personas can be B2C consumers or B2B professional buyers, with their role, authority and buying committee, and journeys adapt accordingly.

What is the retailer assistant instrument?

The lab drives a real retailer's on-site AI assistant, as a shopper would, to see how it presents your brand to people with different needs. It is available with the Pro option.

Can I measure progress over time?

Yes. Personas and scenarios are reusable: rerun them after you change product pages, structured data or content, and compare the results.

How reliable are the diagnostics?

Every SWOT point, action and analyst answer must cite the decision trail or the transcripts. Without evidence, the lab makes no claim.
